This page explains how users of the Yme mobile application agree to receive text messages from us, what those messages are, and how to stop them at any time.

What We Send
Yme sends one kind of SMS: a one-time passcode used to verify your phone number when you create an account, sign in, or change your number. Every message is triggered by an action you take in the app. We send no marketing or promotional texts.

How Opt-In Works
Consent is collected inside the Yme mobile app, on iOS and Android:
- You open the Yme app and choose to continue with your phone number.
- You enter your mobile number.
- On the same screen, before you can proceed, the app displays the consent statement shown here next to a checkbox, along with links to our Terms and Privacy Policy.
- You check the box and tap Continue. Checking the box is your affirmative opt-in, and a message is only sent to the number you typed in yourself.
- A single SMS containing your verification code is sent to that number.
This is the checkbox statement shown in the app, word for word. The same screen also states “We will send you a text with a verification code. Message and data rates may apply” and “By continuing you agree to Yme's terms & conditions and privacy policy,” with links to our Terms and Privacy Policy.

Frequency and Rates
Message frequency varies with your sign-in activity; you receive one message per verification request. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

Opting Out and Getting Help

Opting out of SMS means we cannot verify your phone number, so phone sign-in will be unavailable until you opt back in.

Privacy
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
